Its a story of the MAGISTRATE tiger!. Also that the girl and the brother met a black beast. The girl made the tiger mad that he is a weaklin. So he went to defeat him but he lost.
I think that based on this chapter that the green tiger is magistrate tiger and the twins actually killed him in a well.
She tells the story of her and her brother that went on a trip but someone took her brother. It helps the grirl defeat the tiger by tricking him to jump in the well.
The story tells about the little girl’s brother being “taken” by a beast. It helps defeat the tiger because the story is not true she just made the other beast up so tiger could go in the well by getting tricked thinking it was his son who was mocking him.
The story she told was how her brother got "kidnapped". The story tricked the tiger so when he looks in the well he thinks his reflection is his son mocking him so he jumps in and never came out.
The story that they told was the one that her brother was captured. This helps her defeat him because he is greedy and he dose not like his son. So he got mad and wanted to attack him.
Minli hears a young girl tell a story to the Green Tiger. The girl told the story about her brother.

When Minli enters the village with A-Fu and Da-Fu she is told the story of how the village got its name ( Moon Rain Village.) Moon Rain village is called like that because it said in the book " Its raining pearls!" The an sisters said to each other. " Jewels from the moon!" But in the morning our an sisters saw that the drops were not perals or jewls. In the sun light they saw that they were really seeds. So then that's how they got the name. And because of the seeds flowers and trees grew.
